... I got the most disturbing text message from a random person. Normally, I’d be posting it, but I think it’s quite too grave to share.

Should I send this to the police or should I just delete it and act like nothing has happened? I’m leaning towards the former but I have no clue how to handle this without dealing with potential repercussions out of fear.

If it’s a death threat, or similar, there’s no reason not to report it to the police. Especially if it’s a random person you don’t know.

I can only assume that its either something involving death, or children.

Either way, I would strongly consider taking it to the proper authorities. If (in the case that it was illegal) catch the person for what they did I’m not sure you would want to be somehow implicated.
